United Council of Imams;
Is an Islamic Union for the affairs of all Sunni Imams in a scientific and practical living, professional, technical and methodological aspects, it was founded in 1987, known as United Council of Imams - Sierra Leone. Officially recognized by the Government and the People with its Head Office is in the Capital City and has branches in the Provinces, Districts, Chiefdoms and Zones. there are more than 20 thousand registered Imam as members of the Council in Sierra Leone.
The Council’s Vision is to improve the performance level of Sunni Imams in capacity building among them-selves as Imams, youths’ promotion and Women’s Empowerment in Peace, Unity and Development in Sierra Leone.
