For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I had the privilege of collaborating with ‪@UNPACKED‬ (a channel about Jewish culture, history, and more) to explain the importance of BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations. Check it out! Even if you're not Jewish or female, it can definitely affect you.

On my "Making" channel, I made a fun "webcam unboxing" video where I genuinely struggle to do simple tech things

What kind of Patreon reward would you most like to see for Biocinematics? Doesn't have to be realistic or super-serious. I'm curious what is valuable for people.

For those interested in creating your own science animations, I highly recommend learning Houdini, if you have a little experience in either 3D software or programming. I'm creating a tutorial series to get you started on this path, with a project to make a carbon nanotube. It's pretty cool. The first two parts are up now, over at youtube.com/makingbiocinematics!

Where did all the tutorial videos go?!?
You might notice a slimmer selection of public videos on my channel page. I've decided to make unlisted all the tutorials I previously created (most of which are 5+ years old). Moving forward, tutorials will be on the youtube.com/makingbiocinematics channel, and I want a more focused identity for the main channel, which is to showcase animated videos about molecular biology.

If you want to revisit the tutorials, they're NOT GONE! Just click over to the Playlists Tab and you should see them all there.

I know I haven't published a new video in over a year here, but I have 2 exciting videos in production and I hope to share them with you sooooooooooooon (by which I mean, maybe not that soon, but eventually.)
Feel free to get in touch if you have any concerns or questions!

Biocinematics is now on Patreon! www.patreon.com/biocinematics The first 100 patrons (even just $1/video) will be credited in a special way in future Biocinematics videos. Take a minute to see the rewards you can access and download a higher quality version of my latest Diffusion video right now - available to all patrons.

If you can't support me financially, I totally understand. Thank you for the views, the likes, the comments, and the shares. Consider sharing my Patreon page too if you think this channel has value to continue on. I don't have any ad revenue or sponsors yet, so Patreon would be my sole source of income. If enough people chip in, Biocinematics can be made sustainable long-term.

Thank you so much for supporting me.
