For plant and nature lovers
Sintra The Romans called the mountain Mons Lunae, the Mount of the Moon.
I live in a place with a very particular micro climate, Sintra is a unique place to live, we have the mountains we have the sea and despite living in a village with all the characteristics of country life we are close to Lisbon.
The climate as I mentioned is very pleasant, it is neither too hot nor too cold, it is humid, for the plants it will be the best of both worlds as we have hot summer days but almost always the end of the day brings an atmosphere full of humidity that Plants are so appreciated, which is why the Serra on this side is so green and peaceful, unlike the Guincho side which is buffeted by strong winds and low vegetation.
The area where I live is sheltered from the wind, it is a large pine forest that extends to the sea, the terrain is essentially sandy, the sea is about 3 km away.
