The Fuel are a five piece Indie Rock band formed August 2007. During their first year they have played most of the major venues in Bristol, including The Fleece, The Croft and The Louisiana. Highlights of their first year have included playing Carling Academys mainstage, Gloucesters Guildhall and an industry showcase for SONY BMG. Summer festival slots for westons live and unsigned and a headlinging slot for YOUTH4YOUTH, showed The Fuels ability to play a big stage. The Fuel also reached the final of MOLEs club BOTB. After winning a regional competition the band have been selected by Micheal Eavis himself, and Kieron Pepper, drummer for The Prodigy, to play at Glastonbury Festival 2009. With 60 gigs in their first year The Fuel have quickly earnt a reputation in Bristol for their hard work and enthusiasm. Despite being a young band The Fuel provide a show far beyond their young years. Their mature and exciting songwriting has recently been noted by The Fleeces Bristol Bands site. To enjoy the band at their best, they really must be seen live. The band are now working on their second ep and are looking forward to returning to the studio to record their new material this year and to performing at Glastonbury Festival 2009
