I have been asking you to pre-save "Good, Good Man", but some of you don't know what exactly that means. I went into great detail when we released "Lover, Oh Lover" last year, but in case you missed it, i will explain it again.
A pre-save is basically just a digital “pre-order”, the only difference is that it is free.
When you pre-save the song will be automatically be put into your library as soon as it is released, simultaneously the song will also be marked as liked.
That shows the streaming service that there is interest in the release and it will be featured in more algorithmic playlists. That means more streams and more streams means even more attention from editorial playlists, which are important to gain more fans that will later come to shows or buy the album.
Last time we had some great feedback and got featured on Spotify’s most important playlist “Friday New Music”, where major new release from huge artists like Taylor Swift, Drake or Rihanna are being promoted.
