Still no power. It's been a week. The emergency generator is going, so the villagers can flush their toilets but still can't shower, and the one drinking water tap for the whole place is working on gravity only. Most people are elderly so we have been delivering water and ensuring the oxygen-dependent resident has a constant supply of fuel for his generator. Trying to keep spirits up.
I only have one device working that I charge in my car, which is my phone that has only YT and Insta. Mobile phone service is still unreliable.
Most of the surrounding towns have power now, my gym let me have a shower yesterday now they are back up and running.
I am not very well, it was below freezing the last couple nights and there is moisture on the walls. I can't sleep or eat, I have been consumed by worry and constant strategising to keep our mostly elderly residents safe and as comfortable as possible. Today we are emptying fridges full of rotten food and hoping the repair crews can finish their work before this next storm rolls in later today. As soon as I have power I'll be live streaming. I have a lot to say but I look like a ragamuffin in hand-me-downs lol ❤️❤️❤️ Big love, stay awesome

Power, phone network and internet down in most of my state, due to windstorms. Weeks of gales and wild weather, now we are all huddled in the cold, nursing the last of our device's batteries and listening to the relentless roaring that is the current Soundtrack of Life. No power means no water, too. I went out and begged some fuel from a good samaritan to keep the generator going for one of the oxygen-dependent residents, emergency averted.

UPDATE: we now have emergency water generator operational part-time. And mobile service. Still 10s of thousands of homes without power, my area still "under assessment." Drove 50km to nearest town with power this morning, to charge a phone and get warm. Wind finally dropped, we have a chance to clean up before the next front arrives. Category 3 winds, she's been a rough little time. #imtakingabreakfromtheinternet lol

Last couple days it's been so stormy that I've had/down internet, and my recordings are all wrecked by background noise. It's finally sunny, I'm taking a quick mental health jaunt to check out a new skatepark upgrade in my area, then I'll get to some bookreading once I'm back home.
