About Dutch Delta Sounds - Old Roots New Routes concerts
Old musical traditions from other cultures are developing along surprisingly new lines in our Low Countries. This cross-pollination has led to a new musical idiom, with surprising impulses for existing genres.
New musical movements deserve their own nickname. In this case a designation for the potential of crossovers from all four corners of the world that is present in the Netherlands. Dutch Delta Sounds', for example, born of many parents, omnipresent in the underground but hardly child-to-child outside it.
The Old Roots New Routes concert series wants to give that new sound a stage.
