🥹 I got myself a stock looking/feeling lens hood for the enormous front barrel of the HJ21x7.5. luckily they still had stock after all these years.
I absolutely hated using a full-size mattebox for the last year of owning this lens. This is about 1000x lighter weight and accepts a standard size screw filter 🫶 10/10 sometimes simple kit makes your day.
That is all, just wanted to share a simple enjoyable moment 😅

Here is the video for all those who asked for an image quality example of the lens I had rigged on my FS7 in the 2024 camera setup video. Its a wonderful lens to use. Enjoy the show and tell of the lens as well as lots of test footage.
The next video is an in depth look at the J21x7.8 broadcast lens, which is 90% complete. So keep an eye out for that when I have it finalised.

'New' channel picture and banner. I have been meaning to change over the channel branding for a year, the images have just been sitting waiting 😅
As much as I liked the previous Orange/Amber colour scheme as it works well for a lot of subjects. It has become a VERY common colour on YT after Caleb Pike made it popular many years ago. So I have been meaning to change to Green for quite some time.
So, same channel, same content being made. Just a different branding colour. 😄✌️

Hey all, I have received a huge amount of messages and emails about the adapter(s) in the last day or two. Please be patient while I answer you all. I am only one person and this is all just a side quest for me ✌️
Here is a quick pic of when I took the FS7 and optically adapted Canon J11x4.5 out and shot some night city timelapses as part of a test video that will be released eventually.

Hi all, no video out this week or next.
Moving city 🧳 and changing job 🎉
More videos coming once I settle in 🏡
In the mean time a little text update:
+Next round of tests has started and includes a bunch of different focal ranges, grades and types of parfocal zoom.
+Redesigning the adapter from the ground up before I make batch 2 of adapters.
+I made a special Carbon Fibre version of the adapter for myself while doing materials testing.
+Making a custom servo zoom grip for my 3 cine zooms that no servo ever existed for.
Y'know just regular obsessive projects to keep literally every second of my waking life productive.
😅👌

The last test video in round 1 of lens tests is done, with the very old Angenieux 10x25 T3.7 giving a PL mount S35 lens point of comparison.
Next video should be the round 1 condensed results and findings to finish the round 1 series of B4 zoom tests and comparisons to other zooms.
Watch the Angenieux 25-250mm T3.7 test here:
(You don't want to miss it's use with a rear slot in CPL)

For those who have seen my B4 lens test series and round 1 of tests.
What were your thoughts? Did the testing cover everything you needed? Was there anything else you would rather see in the testing?
I will be starting round 2 of testing in approx 1 months time, and this feedback will be used to determine what will happen with the round 2 tests.

Hi I'm James, I am an Australian Camera Op with a background as a TV/broadcast field camera operator for major networks.
This channel exists because the TV/Broadcast side of knowledge is vastly under-represented on YouTube.
