My topics include clothing-related terms from India like Jodhpurs and Dungarees, words like Selfie and Sexting that were invented in the 21st century and ‘portmanteau’ words that were formed by blending two existing words—such as Bollywood (Bombay + Hollywood) and Mansplaining (Man + Explaining). I also correct typical pronunciation and grammar errors in a lighthearted way. The idea behind the series is to make you smile while you gain a better appreciation of the language.
