Live Tomorrow (6/8)
I am thinking of doing a live broadcast tomorrow at 2 or 3 pm (Indianapolis time). If you have questions, let me know. And also if you want me to go over some movements, I will demonstrate if I can do it alone :)
The questions I have already received:
- Do you perceive your opponent differently when in Shia compared to when doing keiko?
- How would you prepare a student going into their first Shia in your last practice before the event?
- As an instructor and the person responsible for everyone's safety do you have any advice on warning signs that someone may be suffereing from discomfort during jigeiko. I worry about younger students that may not speak up. My sensei has caught it before, but I feel like I missed it. We take it easy on kids but, if their men is not tight enough or something they don't always speak up. So no matter how much you hold back a slight tap can not be fun.
- When you didn't pass your previous examinations what helped you decide what you needed to work on next?
- What did you focus on? (for my 7-dan exam, I assume)
- What were some of the words of advice that you received that were the most enlightening?
- What was the deciding factor that made you realize you were ready to test again?
