This channel is dedicated to the unforgettable and talented comedienne/actress/singer, Cass Daley.
Cass Daley was like a bigger version of Betty Hutton, Martha Raye and Judy Canova put together, and she was perhaps the most talented vocalist of the many comediennes of the '40s and '50s. She gained fame and glory throughout her countless of radio appearances and she ventured into movies in 1942 with "The Fleet's In", which won her a seven-year contract with Paramount Studios. Daley was cast as a man-chasing loudmouth, who flaunted her teeth and contorted her body into disturbing shapes and sizes. She was voted the #1 comedienne on radio in 1946, beating out Betty Hutton, Martha Raye, and Judy Canova, for the number one spot. She was successful in every area of showbiz, and she was awarded two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame; Radio, and one for Television.
Welcome to the World of Cass Daley!
