The release of the End of You debut "Unreal" in 2006 graced the Finnish music with a welcome and well received slab of what the band themselves call machine driven melancholic rock. Critically acclaimed in itself, with the grand entrance of "Mimesis" the debut is now exceeded in every possible way. In the arts, mimesis is considered by some to be re-presenting the human emotions in new ways and thus representing to the onlooker, listener or reader the inherent nature of these emotions and the psychological truth of the work of art. That's exactly what End of You, the elegant gentlemen of dark rock set out to achieve with their sophomore effort. Given that the emotions represented here are a bit more on the gloomy side, we feel the mission has been accomplished.
