Gumby is a green clay figurine created in 1953 by stop motion genius Art Clokey, star of the Gumby Show, a 233 episode series that spanned a length of 35 years. With his sidekicks like pokey, prickle, goo and nopey, it became a well-engraved image in popular culture. Ask anyone who was born in the40's -60's, they all remember the Gumby show, because of it's recognizable and lovable characters.
