God never does anything without a plan. He chose your parents just for you! The Bible teaches us to honor our parents, and this is the first command that comes with a promise: that it may be well with you and that you may live long in the land.
Obeying our parents may not always be easy, but His grace is always enough to help us. Let us strive to honor our parents just as we would our Father in Heaven.
