This youtube channel is dedicated to my dad, Jim Minor. Jim recorded country music in the 1960s for 4 different record labels with 2 being major labels Mercury and United Artists. He was the 1st country and western artist to be on the newly founded United Artists label in 1960. Chet Atkins, the Jordanaires, Floyd Cramer, Junior Huskey, Hank Garland, Bob Moore, Buddy Harman and Grady Martin were all on his records. He had 3 TV shows a week in Evansville Ind in 1954. He played on the Grand Ole Opry on Sept. 30th 1961. Jim Minor and Bob Cloud published Narvel Felts, Connie Dycus, Vada Belle, Alice Berry and Jimmy Edwards through Mercury Records, all rockabilly, in the 1950s. Jim and Bob owned COLT "45" RECORDS of Flint, Mi 1959. Artists on the Colt 45 label were: Connie Dycus, Eddie and Don, Paul and Larry and Donna Chrysler. He was inducted into the Michigan Country Music Hall of Fame on Sept. 2nd, 2011.
