Hey y'all, I just saw one of these scam ads on FB. Oprah is not giving away La Creuset sets. There's nothing on her website, or Ellen's, or anyone else's. They use AI generated audio to get you to click the link and sign up for installments only to receive nothing.
Always remember, folks: where and what you click can open you up to phishing scams and other badness. Always do a Google search if something seems too good to be true or if it's illogical. The last one is what made me go looking: what does Oprah have to do with giving pretty pots and pans to needy families? That's how I found this video. With generative AI misuse running rampant, we have to be vigilant so that we don't get hustled.
