This entire channel is purely down to Mat Taylor creating this video - youtu.be/3-UMs5kvNVQ
I've been restoring audio / video / photographic negatives, slides and prints for over 30 years (as a hobby), but never succeeded with 78 rpm records (even though I've known what to do). Mat's video finally gave me the push to properly try it, and have enjoyed it so much, my shellac collection has gone from six to over one hundred and sixty in two weeks.
Ive added no EQ to any of these transfers, the only enhancements are surface noise reduction.
Some of these records will sound pretty bad for obvious reasons, but some of them sound astonishing!
Just one more thing - I've included in each description the record label, record size and catalogue numbers, plus the record label is rach video thumbnail. Please copy and paste into your search engine the details I've provided if you are after further information about the artist / song / whatever.
But most of all, have fun 😁
