American-ish is a new digital show featuring two young Middle Eastern women from unique and layered backgrounds. Adela Cojab is a Syrian-Lebanese Mexican Jew and Mariam Wahba is an Egyptian Coptic Christian. Together, they are the Daughters of Diaspora.
Cojab and Wahba came together when they realized there is a sparsity of young female creators talking honestly about faith, culture, and religion in a way transcends ethnic and racial divides. This show will serve as a platform to explore their layered and complex identities, and help their audience explore theirs.
