This particular day in history has become quite poignant for many Americans. We lost so many good people on that day from this senseless act of violence. My heart goes out to all the families of the victims of this tragedy. And to all the first responders who bravely rushed to the scene to help those in need, you are true American heroes!!

Jeff and I met for the first time at a rehearsal that was held at our house with Danny Seraphine, Ed Roth, Bill Champliin, for a benefit for Thayer Family Foundation. We hung after dinner and rehearsal and I played him a couple of songs that were on my mind, one of which was a version of āAmerica the Beautifulā. A lot of arrangements and songs sit with you and call to you over time and this was one of them for me. When I heard Jeff at rehearsal and I played him the song I asked him if he would sing it and he said yes, and here we are.
