It's been a while what with Xmas and battling health issues but you can't keep a good man down especially when he wakes up with a song on repeat in his mental jukebox. I had forgotten how stunningly beautiful "Touch Me In The Morning" is. Written by Ron Miller and Michael Masser it hit No.1 on the Billboard chart and No.9 in the UK.
It's proving quite tricky to get this right as the original has multiple changes of feel and tempo but it's well underway and should be up in a few days. Happy New Year to all of my lovely subs!

Whilst basking in the beautiful summer sunshine this afternoon "I'm Still Waiting" , a Diana Ross favourite from my childhood popped into my head but to a house groove ...hmmm. I scampered back into the studio and 2 hours later I have a basic skeleton to a remix. This one could take a bit of time as I want to do justice to this great song and performance. Hopefully some of you may like this. Now I am back laying in the sun plotting a suitable disco-esque string arrangement...who said men can't multi-task?

A new refresh finally on the way but you just have to "Give Me Just A Little More Time"...another great song from the peerless Holland/Dozier/Holland along with Ron Dunbar.

Was rifling through my hard drives today and found the beginnings of a disco remix of Anita Bakerās brilliant āSweet Loveā which I had started in 2005 and completely forgotten about. What really surprised me was how much work I had I already done including a bass part with my sadly missed Music Man Stingray bass. After Importing it into Cubase I realised that I have to finish this so have been playing some very ādisco-esqueā parts this afternoon including guitar, Fender Rhodes piano and strings. Iāve been having great fun but my cat always gives me strange looks when Iām dancing whilst checking the mix at high volume. Hopefully will have this finished in a few days.

Traditionally, for a years now, I have done a new Diana Ross remix to celebrate any upcoming landmark birthday. I realised, just tonight, that she will be 80 on Tuesday! So whilst making a Thai curry, I have swiftly mapped out the existing track of a great, but underrated DR single, in Cubase and I have no idea which way this mix will go...but that's the fun of it. It just has to be done by Tuesday so I had better start working... hopefully it will take you all higher!

Thanks to a terrific suggestion from one of my lovely and generous subs I have spent the last few hours refreshing a classic Brenda Holloway track...it's certainly brightened my afternoon. Listening to the mix so far I've been doing a few old Northern Soul moves whilst cooking a red Thai curry...my cat was very impressed. Should be up by tomorrow.

It would be great if any of my lovely subs would be kind enough to check out my "Latin Chillout" music on Spotify and all of the other platforms. I make this music because it's a very relaxing thing to do and a chance to explore melody and groove.

Just when I should be doing something more important I find myself making a spontaneous Housey re-fResh of "Will This Be The Day" by, of course, Diana Ross and The Supremes and enjoying it way too much! Gonna try and finish it before Xmas.
