The Public Safety Training Facility was created through the cooperation of Monroe County, the city of Rochester, New York and Monroe Community College to train all first responders. For over 35 years law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical responders and private businesses have received training at the campus.
In 2001, the newest campus opened adjacent to the Rochester International Airport. With over 100,000 square feet of training space it houses indoor and outdoor weapons ranges, a complete EMT lab which can also be used as an infirmary in emergencies, computer lab, fitness center, defensive tactics training room, fire search maze and 2 story rope training lab.
