Nothing's full performance 2 weeks ago in Philadelphia, closing out the 1st ever SlideAway festival (8 bands, NINE hrs of music!), is uploading right now. Video is SMOOTH (despite not smuggling in my tripod - they didn't even check my bag! :-( the audio is mint -fuck those phone mics, I had my new Zoom Am7 Android mic plugged in, pulling down 48k 24-bit stereo, so it's not only WATCHABLE but it's also LISTENABLE!! Dig it my gaze brothers and sisters, over ONE HOUR of GUILTY OF EVERYTHING.

Hey folks, added a new playlist here, NEW RELEASES, to spotlight gaze bands new vids. First up is one from Austin-based Blushing, from their new album Sugarcoat. They're going out on the road in May, with Chicago legend Airiel and Bodywash - see you in the mosh pit!

Hey kids, new Explosions In The Sky vids up from last night's show at Roadrunner in Boston MA. It was a great turnout, looked pretty close to sold out. Pet Fox was the opener, they were really great, had a large sound for only a trio. These vids are just phone vids, no special audio, security was pretty tight for getting gear in. But, I have a Zoom AM7 stereo mic on order, that plugs into an Android USB-C connector, so that should up the quality and be search-proof - we'll find out. ENJOY!

New Trauma Ray show from last Tuesday, at Sonia in Cambridge MA, is up now. Viddie cams decided fucking up during filming would be an awesome idea, so - stills of merch stickers where that went down, but audio's still there - what fucking ever.

Hey all! New Slowdive live from House of Blues is going up, starting today - COOL! The 2nd song from their (3 song) encore , Dagger , is up for your listening and viewing pleasure. The harmonies of Rachel and Neil are haunting , to say the least.

Hey all, thanks for subscribing to my channel. I travel around the east coast of the U.S., going to shows of mostly all shoegaze and dream pop bands, mostly small club dates.
The bands are indifferent to grateful and enthusiastic to get their gigs recorded and posted. Nothing and Cloakroom, for instance, I know for a fact watch their shows, to see how they did (hey Doyle, wut up my brother - see you on the road!). That kinda blew my mind.
I have a couple different rigs I use to record, and my technique is improving. So, the older vid captures are pretty uneven in quality. Some are pretty good, some are kind of unlistenable and/or unwatchable - sorry!
My current rig benefits from a (tiny, concealable) tripod, so - steady vid. The audio I now record on a Zoom H1N1 recorder, at 96k 24-bit stereo WAV, so "lossless high definition". I overdub this onto the video. The vid is either: on a Hasselblad Moto Mod w/10x optical zoom; a Pentax K70 DSLR; my phone (when everything else fucks up). They're all 1920 x 1080, 30 fps.
The only rule here is: if you're going to try and repost and profit from these vids , reach out to the band(s) and - ask permission; share your profits with them - touring is expensive, n of these folks are rich. I don't want a cut, fuck that - this is a public service for the good of live music.
Oh, and don't be a dick. Dicks get banned and blocked, natch. Enjoy!

Nothing here but shoegaze & adjacent bands performing live in small clubs. Playlists of entire shows including Nothing, Ringo Deathstarr, Cloakroom, Airiel, Blushing, Swirlies and more. New shows are added often, as I rlly dig traveling to hear bands all over the East Coast - and occasionally further. Bootlegging is a gas! A snapshot of the current shoegaze scene, preserved here for all to freely enjoy - so dig in, light up and turn it up LOUD.
