I always hear the same thing from architecture professionals in different countries:
❌"Here, that type of work doesn’t pay well."
❌"There’s too much competition."
❌"You have to compete with people who charge less for the same job."
Sound familiar?
While many of these things may be true, in the end, you’re using them as excuses to avoid addressing the real problem.
Clients aren’t going to voluntarily pay you more. They want the job done quickly, cheaply, and at the highest quality.
It’s your responsibility to charge what’s fair for your work and experience. Don’t waste time explaining your rates—that’s a losing battle.
Instead, spend your time offering guarantees to clients and demonstrating that your prices are justified by the solutions you provide.
You’re never going to win the battle of competition by lowering your prices. You win by charging what you’re worth and proving results.
Don’t give your work away.
Let other render artists fight for that low-end market.
If you see yourself as cheap, clients will see you as even cheaper
