Last nights sky was Epic. The colors were extremely intense. The only touch up I did was turn up the brightness just a bit because it was so dark. Happy Saturday and i hope your day is awesome. 🐾✌️

#NATIONALAVOCADODAY

There are many reasons to celebrate National Avocado Day. For one, avocados target insulin resistance with heart-healthy fats. They also fight Alzheimer’s with its Omega 3 fatty acids. Another avocado superpower is preventing and repairing damage due to its source of Vitamins C, E and K.

One of the secret weapons in an avocado is the high oleic acid content. This moisturizing fatty acid helps keep skin soft and hydrated but also supports the regeneration of damaged skin cells reducing redness and irritation. Eat more of this superfruit or cook with avocado oil if you have this type of skin issue.

Enjoy an avocado and try a new recipe. Share your favorite avocado recipe and use #NationalAvocadoDay to post on social media.

#FatherInLawDay

National Father-In-Law Day on July 30th recognizes your spouse’s father annually. Dedicate some time to your father-in-law on this day.

Fathers-in-law bring a new perspective to our lives. Whether we are a new addition to their families or made bonds a long time ago, they grow to have an honored place in our hearts. They are the patriarchs of our families. Whether they’ve built a reputation for being stubborn, softhearted or full of humor, these men stand as one cornerstone of a sheltering family tree.

During National Father-in-Law Day, celebrate the father-in-law in your life.

If your father-in-law is no longer living, remember him in a special way.

Post on social media using #FatherinLawDay and encourage others to join in.

#NationalLasagnaDay

Since lasagna is one of the oldest kinds of pasta, cooks have developed quite a selection of recipes. From vegan to seafood and dessert, lasagna fills recipe books around the world. Even the sauces come in a wide variety.

Unsurprisingly, many families create unique recipes that are passed down from generation to generation. Sometimes the sauce makes the lasagna special, too. Other families make their sausage from scratch. Fresh-picked tomatoes, onions, and herbs are often a cook’s secret. Others will claim the best lasagna makers use a specific kind and number of cheeses.

Overall, most lasagna recipes call for mozzarella, parmesan, and ricotta. However, lasagna is not limited to those three kinds of cheese. Italian seasonings such as garlic, basil, and oregano bring that delicious flavor, too.

The origin of lasagna is debated with varying theories.
Initially, the word lasagna referred to the pot in which the dish was cooked rather than the food.
A 14th-century English cookbook featured a recipe for lasagna.
Even cartoon characters enjoy the dish. Garfield, the cat, declares his love for lasagna in the cartoon strip with his name.

#WORLDCONSERVATIONDAY

Our planet’s natural resources consist of air, sunlight, soil, minerals, fuels and water. All of these things are found in nature and used by people. Currently, there are nearly 8 billion people that populate the Earth. This number is expected to exceed 9 billion by 2037. All of these people use the earth’s natural resources every day. Because these resources are getting used up so rapidly, many people are concerned they will become depleted. For this reason, many individuals and organizations stress the importance of conserving our natural resources.

The good news is, there are some simple ways to conserve our natural resources. Take water, for instance. Some scientists say our planet’s water supply will be gone by 2050. One of the easiest ways to conserve water is to use less of it. Taking shorter showers, shutting off the faucet during teeth brushing, and using rainwater for irrigation are all ways to do this.

Here are some other ways to conserve our natural resources:
Plant trees to reduce soil erosion
Reduce, reuse and recycle
Carpool with co-workers
Shut off lights when leaving a room
Go digital instead of printing things on paper
Volunteer for community cleanups
Use non-toxic cleaning supplies
Make your own compost

If everyone does their part, our planet’s natural resources will be available for years to come.

#NationalLoveIsKindDay

National Love is Kind Day encourages you to become aware of how you are treating people, how people are treating you, and how you can become emboldened, supported, and empowered to lead the joyful and productive life you deserve. With improved and proper support, families can know and experience the freedom and love found in an abuse-free home. Children grow up with positive role models, and both adults and children lead more productive, happy, and mentally healthy lives.

The day is an opportunity to say “No to abuse, violence, and ridicule! And begin saying, “Yes, to kindness! And yes, to sharing my voice! Yes, I am worth it and my life matters. Kindness rules!”
