Old Kentucky Band紹介
“Old Kentucky Band”は千葉大学のBluegrass関連サークルのＯＢが集まり1996年に結成したバンドです。「無理をしないで楽しもう」がコンセプトです。我々の演奏曲は初期BluegrassのスターBill Monroe & Bluegrass Boys、Foggy Mountain Boys、Stanley Brothersなどの曲を中心に演奏しています。1950~1970年頃の演奏ですが、最近は次世代の演奏者がより発展させたテクニックと音使いをしてアレンジしたものもチャレンジしています。
Introducing Old Kentucky Band
“Old Kentucky Band” is a band formed in 1996 by alumni of Bluegrass-related circles at Chiba University. The concept is "Let's have fun without overdoing it". Our music revolves around early Bluegrass stars Bill Monroe & Bluegrass Boys, Foggy Mountain Boys, Stanley Brothers and more. It was performed around 1950 to 1970, but recently I have been trying to arrange it with the techniques and sounds that have been developed by the next generation of performers.
