Congolese guitarman Siama Matuzungidi recorded hundreds of songs and toured the world. Now based in Minneapolis, MN-USA, he performs concerts and he and Dallas Johnson host fun kids' shows. The new CD, "Land of Yangalele", featuring traditional African instruments (like mbira and balafon), vocal harmonies, drumming and fun songs, was inspired by rumba and traditional music Siama remembers from back home in DR Congo. The CD is a winner of a Parents' Choice Parent Approved Award and a Creative Child Preferred Choice award. His 2016 CD, "RIVERS - from the Congo to the Mississippi" is a lush collection of songs Siama created to show his love for collaborating with musicians of many genres.
