"Nyohaku" is a Shakuhachi Grandmaster and teacher of traditional Japanese music. The Zen repertoire spans hundreds of years has been part of Buddhism in Japan since it was brought from China in theTang Dynasty. Gaikyoku (trio chamber music) has incorporated it in"floating world" entertainment since the 18th century. The late Ronnie Nyogetsu Reishin Seldin was awarded the honorary title of "Reishin" from Ayoki Reibo I, one of the 20th century's most and respected players. Ronnie gave Daniel the name "Nyohaku" after 30 years of continual study. Daniel performs professionally and volunteers in community outreach.
