I am a self taught knot tyer from the South West of England.
My videos are How To Guides on tying simple knots, as not everyone can get access to knot books or like me they struggle to follow them and prefer a video to follow. I am attempting to slowly increase the videos for more complicated knots, to give a vast library of videos made by myself, to get more people into knot tying.
I advise watchers that when using my knot videos, that they should research each knot's proper use and breaking strength. I would also advise to use the appropriate rope for the task. So, for example, for a climbing knot to seek advice from a climbing instructor.
There are many books out there and you should give them ago too. They could give clearer information and sometimes the history of the knot.
