But what should be recovered? What has stress taken from us that we need to get back? Certainly the bounce in our step, the twinkle in our eye, the joy of living, the delight of witnessing our children's potential spontaneously unfold before our eyes. And what do we need to recover in order to find what was lost, and how best can we do this? That is what I intend to address – for ourselves and especially for our children.
I am delighted to once again share the keynote responsibilities with Tamara Strijack and Dr. Deborah MacNamara. In my anchor keynote, I will be focusing on the pivotal role of feelings in recovery. In her keynote, Tamara will talk about the role of nature in recovery – in particular, how restoring a connection with the natural world around us can foster learning, healing, and growth. Deborah, in the third keynote, will talk about the role of nurturance in recovery, in particular, the kind of nurturance that can only happen when food is reunited with relationship. Our presenters – all Neufeld Institute Faculty or Facilitators – will tackle the theme of recovery from many angles, expanding on what has been introduced in the keynotes, while adding perspective, stories, inspiration, and practical guidance to spur us on to take the steps needed. Each day will end with Tamara and Deborah joining me in a panel discussion to dialogue about what has been presented in the keynotes and to respond to questions that have been forwarded.
Once again, like last year, conference participants will have access to each and every recording for another 90 days after the conference. No one will need to miss out on a particular session because of having chosen to attend another session. Also, most of the sessions during the conference will feature a live Q&A with the presenter, providing even more opportunities for interaction than we were able to do in our in-person conferences.
On behalf of the entire conference team, we look forward to engaging you in this timely theme.
