rest in peace to liam payne. as someone who has covered some of his trending interviews and musical output, people keep asking what my thoughts are and my thoughts aren’t much different from anyone else’s. it’s a terrible shocking tragedy that obviously no one could have predicted. and no one wanted. As I’ve said in my video, Liam was an essential part of One Direction which is a generation defining boyband. He was also a father and very young. Despite his controversies, for people who grew up watching the One Direction journey, it is still a huge and utterly shocking loss. There is nuance to every situation. Being critical of someone’s musical output or public statements does not mean that you wish tragedy on them. I also think it’s important to not delete every piece of critical media or real-time reactions to a moment/music because someone passed. However, Due to the influx of unhinged and deranged comments, I decided to remove the video I *recently* made on Liam. May he rest in peace and respect to the contributions he made . My favorite songs that he’s written for One Direction are Story of My Life & Steal My Girl.
