I foster feral cats for Heros Heart www.herosheartrescue.org to donate
Stars story... I bought her (first horse) from a breeder when she was 14 months old. I paid $300. She knew how to pick up her feet and was easy to catch. There is a horsemanship clinic not far from me. My plan was. Buy a horse, and train her to trail ride by going to this horsemanship clinic. Went through the first class. We did great! Noticed she was limping and had the vet come out. Her back was hurting. I called the chiropractor, and she almost collapsed when he worked on her. Have to bring her to a vet in the Twin Cities, 4 hours away. He took an x-ray of the foot she was limping on and found a genetic disease where the cartilage was terrible. I'm not really sure what it is called. He said they could have fixed it if it was caught when she was firstborn. He told me she wouldn't live much after 10. Only ride her for 1/2 hour rides. I never rode her. Why? I do everything at liberty.
