I don't even know if anyone will read this. I've been thinking about what to do with this channel a lot lately. Months ago I said I was going to stop making memes and mashups in order to focus on producing original music. The reason for that is twofold.
First, mashups stopped being fun for me after I made "Shelter in your Reality" with Emdyion. I spent so much time and effort on my portion of that mashup and I genuinely enjoyed it, because it felt like I was making more of a remix than a mashup. Every mashup I tried to make after that just didn't feel the same.
Secondly, making meme videos just wasn't fun for me anymore either. The only thing I really get enjoyment out of is making original music or making remixes.
I have been focusing on solely making original music or making remixes for almost 6 months now and I'm feeling really inspired. However, every track I've released after "Mystic" has only been on SoundCloud. I realize now this may have alienated a lot of you, expecting more content from this channel while I post on SoundCloud only.
From here on out, I will post my music to YouTube as well as SoundCloud, despite the awful state of the copyright system. That being said, I want this channel to be all about my music and my music only. I honestly can't stand to look at any of the meme videos I've made anymore and I don't feel like my mashups (aside from Shelter in your Reality) properly represent my current state as a producer.
So here's what's going to happen, I'm going to post all my music so far to this channel very soon, and I'm going to either delete or unlist and make a playlist of all of my content (except for Shelter in your Reality) and start this channel fresh. If there's is a particular video you want to stay on YouTube, I suggest you download it somehow and repost it for all I care, because I don't want them on my channel anymore. You'll have at least two weeks to a month (and I'll restate all this in a video update or something soon) to save whatever videos of mine you want before I nuke everything but the videos I want to keep.
If you subscribed to me for the meme content, and are expecting more memes from me, I'm sorry but you may as well unsubscribe now. Sorry, and thank you for your support up til now.
If you subscribed to me for my mashups, I genuinely appreciate your support up to now. Feel free to download my mashups to either keep or repost them, it would make me happy to know somebody appreciates content that I can't anymore. I urge you to stick around for my music, though if you unsubscribe I totally understand.
TL;DR almost every video on this channel will either be deleted or unlisted. I will be posting all of my original music so far and in the future, which was exclusively on SoundCloud til now, on this channel. If you don't want to see a video of mine go away, download it and repost it, I don't care. If you want to unsubscribe now, thanks for the support up til now. If you stay subscribed, I can't wait to share my music with you.
