The Loop was born in 1977, out of a goofy station that had all girl DJs and played sappy "Adult Rock." In '79, an eccentric Hawaiian guy bought the station and brought in guys like Steve & Garry, Sky Daniels, and a dozen or so other misfits. First order of business was losing the James Taylor and pumpin' out Nugent, Zeppelin, and everything that rocked... blowing up the disco records... and the rest is history. Amazingly, the Loop is still alive, and intends to be for a long time. So get used to it.
