Zoran Predin is a Slovenian singer-songwriter from Maribor.
His career began in 1979, when he was the front man of Lačni Franz,
a folk-rock (kabaretni rock) band with provocative lyrics and an unorthodox and unique sound.
While leading the band he also wrote music for films, television and theatre, and rose to fame
as an icon of the new-wave era in Yugoslavian cultural history.
Later in life he started a solo career and expanded his genres to gypsy swing, soul, world, jazz and pop.
He collaborated with many famous musicians, made anthems for Slovenian sports teams and started with book writing.
Today he is known for his intellectual poetry, his comedic showmanship and his books.
