José Joaquín Ávila Portalatín (September 11, 1925 – June 28, 2013), better known as Yiye Ávila, was a Puerto Rican Pentecostal Evangelist and writer of Sephardi origins. He was a pioneer of sound doctrine and of the ancient path. His preaching and messages were characterized in proclaiming that the coming of Christ is imminent.
He is considered one of the most influential preachers of hispanic speech. He was also the second runner-up for Mr. North America in
