Update time!
Hope your holidays have been going splendidly for you all.
Now that production of my Sonic x Shadow Generations playthrough is complete, what are my plans for 2025? Before I get into that, I want to address my potential retirement I considered during 2024. I still feel as if I'm in my twilight years and now I've been putting together a list of projects I would like to consider making before my time is up on my channel. They mostly consist of playthroughs on games I haven't gotten to yet, but REALLY want to. Along with that, maybe an ambitious single video or two. Also I'm making an oath to not make any videos on Switch 2 games unless one on it really, REALLY catches my eye.
As for what's first on my list, two things. First up regards Donkey Kong Country Returns HD in January. Since that version will contain levels previously exclusive to the 3DS release, I'll be doing an extra part on those levels for my DKCR Puzzle Piece Playthrough to make it fully complete. Second is my next playthrough project. I mentioned this in a previous post, but I plan on doing Sonic Frontiers or Sonic 3 & Knuckles if the former needs some reconsideration on the scope of my playthrough. From there I'll be working down my list throughout 2025 and then see how I feel about doing anything else for my channel.
One last thing to mention. I will be holding onto my Mario Kart 8 Deluxe online series until the very end. Though if the upcoming Sonic Racing CrossWorlds game turns out good enough (at least better than Team Sonic Racing), I may do a small online series for that.
That should be all I have for now. Until next post and Merry Christmas!

Not really an update post, just a remainder of a poor and flawed system on Youtube.
As you may or may not have seen, I have begun publishing my Sonic x Shadow Generations playthrough. As of the time of writing, the first two parts have gotten copyright claimed by obscure music companies who don't own the rights to whatever music they're claiming (they have a history for claiming variations of Green Hill Zone music). Just to to be clear, when these claims are made, the videos should still be available to watch like nothing happened on your end. All this does is direct any potential revenue I could get from said videos to those claimers.
In the near 15 years this channel has been up, I have never made attempts to monetize my thousands of videos, and my claim record at this point is less than 15 videos. For a long time, I've mostly ignored these as long as people could still actually watch my stuff if desired and no harm done. These recent claims rubbed me the wrong way however.
As for what may happen, two things. First is the company ignores my dispute and let's it expire, removing the claim. That, or they reject it at the last second and I may redo one of the parts of the playthrough and reupload it.
I find it stupid that these malicious companies would do this kind of crap to wring every little penny from channels of all sizes, and that Youtube's copyright systems don't do enough to prevent these claims from running rampant. Then again, we live in a world were money and greed are at the forefront of the minds of people with much power.
Anyways, sorry if this post was an unexpected downer moment. I just needed to get this off my chest. I'll be back with an actual update once the whole Generations playthrough as is now goes public.
Have a happy holidays, but also be careful out there with any troubles in your daily lives.

Notice: My original trajectory for my Yooka-Laylee & the Impossible Lair playthrough release ended up being slightly off. However, I've made enough progress on it to confidently say that the playthrough will go public the next week for sure.

Time for an update.
Normally I like to wait until I'm mostly done with the editing process of my playthroughs to announce the game I'm doing, but this time I'll toss out what I have planned for the remainder of this year.
My next playthrough, and the final game in my Donkey Kong Marathon is... Yooka-Laylee & the Impossible Lair. Wait... that's not a DK game! In a normal sense, that's right. However, the gameplay is very Country coated and some of the staff at Playtonic Games actually consist of old Rareware developers. So with that, among other reasons, is why I feel the game's spirit (in a sense) warrants me doing the game, marathon or otherwise. If my trajectory is correct, I should have the playthrough done sometime next week.
Afterwards, it'll be time I stepped away from all the Marios and Donkey Kongs I've done all year and finally get back to a series I've meant to do at the start of 2024 with Sonic the Hedgehog. Turns out that Generations is finally coming to a Nintendo (home) console with a fancy port and a new Shadow campaign in tow. I've been looking forward to that one! Afterwards, I'm thinking I do either Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Frontiers, or both depending on how things pan out when I get to them.
Next, I've talked a little about my thoughts about slightly stepping away from my Youtube channel after 2024 before, but now I want to realign my ideas for my "final" stretch of serious content creation during next year. After the Sonic games, I'm thinking of putting together a small list of games I still would REALLY like to get to before all is said and done. I'll put up future updates for that later, but look forward to those. Anything else I end up doing for the channel will be more of a bonus while I take steps into the next phase of my life.
Lastly is a small (maybe unnecessary) reminder about the future Splatoon 3 online sets after my main run of the series had ended with Set 75. All sets covering the holiday splatfest reruns will be labeled as extras and have far fewer matches in them.
That's a lot to cover, but I thank you for your time, however much you're willing to give and until next post!

Time for an update.
This one will solely be regarding my Splatoon 3 online series. I'm wrapping things up with it.
Now originally I planned for the upcoming set 75 to be the last one and thus I could put the "complete edition" label on my playlist, but then Nintendo revealed that the seasonal splatfest reruns will (potentially) have different themes from the first go-arounds such as with the upcoming Halloween splatfest. I'll cover any different themes that the reruns feature in my online series at my convenience, but they'll be considered as bonus sets, kinda like Set 200 in my Super Smash Bros Ultimate series.
Aside from that, I'm pretty much done with Splatoon 3 and with the trilogy overall. I'm glad I stuck around and played these games for the past decade while also doing videos on them! I don't know what Nintendo has in store for the next Splatoon game, likely on their next console, but I don't think I'll be around to cover that.
If my count is correct, then in a way my Mario Kart 8 Deluxe series will be the only remaining online series left during this pivotal era of my channel. I'll probably keep that one around until the end as a stop gap between my remaining playthroughs/projects.
Until next post!

After a lengthy break, the Donkey Kong marathon is back on track for the last couple of stops! Next up is the oddball Gamecube platformer, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat!
After that, I'm going to (officially) wrap up the marathon with a game that ISN'T Donkey Kong, but is very DKC coated and I've been waiting for the right time to finally knock it off my backlog.
Anything else I choose to add to the marathon is either the 3DS levels as seen in DKC Returns HD or extra DKC inspired games that caught my attention and I had time to fit in among other stuff.

Update time:
So unsurprisingly, my Three Hopes idea didn't get too far, probably for the best. So for a while, I was mostly just revisiting some old games while also continuing to play around with emulation.
Now it looks like Splatoon 3's big Grand Festival events are fast approaching, so there's that coverage to look forward from me. Outside of that, I'm almost ready to move on to my next playthrough. Though I do have an F-Zero video in the works in-between all this.
Until next post!

The Luigi's Mansion 1 Anew playthrough is nearly complete and will go public next week after the Splatoon 3 Splatfest.
Now before I return to some lingering projects, I recently had a new, albeit minor idea with Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes even though that game is no longer relevant. I don't expect much to come from it, but felt like doing it for the heck of it.
Until next post.

Small update on my Luigi's Mansion 2HD playthrough.
Based on my current trajectory, I should have it finished in a week or two. Though keep in mind that each part will cover the WHOLE area and they'll be over an hour & a half long.
Also as a reminder that afterwards I will immediately get to work on an anew playthrough of Luigi's Mansion 1.
If you want to watch the old longplay of LM1 where I don't collect any money, you can now find it at the end of my old miscellaneous playlist (the one from 2010 to 2015). The new playthrough will cover the game in a different way, so the old longplay will remain public on my channel.

So you've found me, huh? Well good for you then. I do videos on games. Mostly Nintendo ones like Mario and all that. There's nifty playthroughs, special things I post, some dated humorous videos, and many online matches of games like Mario Kart. Hope you enjoy what you find and see, because compared to bigger channels, I'm an invisible man! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go relax for a while. So don't disturb me! ...You still here?
