Fear has a way of causing us to separate ourselves from God’s love and presence. So many people believe we have to fix ourselves up and perform to be welcomed by him, and that’s deception.
It doesn’t matter what you’ve done or where you’ve been, God will always receive a repentant heart.
Resist the spirit of fear and go to Him. Just as you are. 🙏🏽🩷

Sometimes my heart feels raggedy.
It can feel raggedy because of what I’m thinking, feeling, or meditating on. At times it can feel raggedy because of the pain I’ve experienced or the things I’ve gone through in life. At other times, it can even feel raggedy because of the 13 cookies and half a pizza I ate over the weekend 👀-not really but really. 🤷🏽♀️
Whatever the cause, I’ve learned to give my heart to the One that has the power to change it, while also keeping in mind that this change often comes with a course of action. This “Create in me a clean heart” will require me to make certain adjustments as the Lord reveals hidden motives, attitudes, and behaviors that I need to repent of. This is where I have to lean into His ways and not my own. That’s the way to a clean heart. His ways not ours.
So, lean into Him today. And when you ask Him to clean up your heart, lean into what He asks you to do. Pray for the areas your heart is most weak, and watch God as He gives you the strength to overcome.
