Nurah’s passion is being of service to her community, with a strong focus on women and youth. She believes that too many of our youth are crippled by fear, feelings of inadequacy and insecurity. She stresses that, “Competence Breeds Confidence.” To that end, she encourages young people to move beyond their comfort zones, tackle new challenges and engage with new people. In that way, each small victory will be the foundation leading to even greater victories.
As an advocate for the women in her community, she recognizes how the legacies of poverty, abuse and addiction create distrust and disengagement in women. Therefore she strives to empower women with the healing value of self love, self knowledge and self awareness.
