Lucid Motors co-founder and CEO Peter Rawlinson has resigned from his role. Lucid Chief Operations Officer Marc Winteroff will now serve as interim CEO as #lucidmotors searches for a permanent replacement. Lucid also reports that Rawlinson will transition to a 'strategic technical advisor' to the board Chairman through to Feb 2027.

Its finally arrived! #tesla has finally taken off those annoying cover wraps and unveiled their newly redesigned Model Y. The 'World Best Selling EV' will officially be out in the coming months.

#tesla celebrated an interesting milestone earlier in September by achieving over 60,000 Model Y units on the roads of EV friendly Norway. The Norwegian Road Federation officially recorded Model Y as the best selling vehicle in 2023 and looks likely repeat the same feat end of 2024.

Chinese automaker BYD keeps going from strength to strength! Official reports show for Q3 2024 (1st January - 30th September) they achieved global sales of $28.2 billion beating Tesla figures of $25.2 billion. Fair to say @byd sells battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), collectively also known as New Energy Vehicles (NEVs). Salutations to all continually pushing the boundaries of EV adoption.

Many can't help but feel sorry Fisker Ocean owners over the rollercoaster they have been going through! Two weeks ago Fisker had appeared to be willing to pay for active recalls, but as of 26th September their FAQ page says customers will have to foot the bill. Anyway, The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is looking into this and says according to federal law, customers should not incur any charges. So stay tuned because this is not over!

#tesla (made-in-China) just got some good news! Their recently revised 9% tariffs just got further reduced to 7.8% by the #europeanunion. On top of EU's standard 10% import duty for all EV makers, #geely will see a minimal tariffs trim but others not cooperating with the EU investigation will remain unchanged at 35.3%.
