As an integrated part of the Clinical Neurosciences Center at University of Utah Health, the Department of Neurosurgery provides patient-focused care; innovative clinical and laboratory research; and specialized academic training.

The Neurosurgical residency program is designed to create not only talented surgeons, but leaders in their field. All of our faculty members have specific subspecialty interests, ensuring current (and future) residents’ exposure to the full scope of neurosurgical problems and procedures. The strength of this program is the quality of our faculty, coupled with the breadth and depth of our clinical volume and the quality of facilities in our healthcare system.

Our physicians offer an array of services including cerebrovascular, spinal, functional, traumatic, tumor, and pediatric neurosurgery at four hospitals and their affiliated clinics in the Salt Lake vicinity.
