Founded in 2010 by Burak Onur Erdem, Rezonans quickly became one of the leading choirs in Turkey. The choir has worked with renowned composers and conductors from all over the world such as Grammy© award-winning composer Eric Whitacre, Nigel Short-former member of the King's Singers, Jo-Michael Scheibe - former president of the American Choral Directors Association, Volker Hempfling, Georg Grün and Frieder Bernius. The choir recorded two albums with İncesaz. In 2016, Rezonans won the second prize at the Cork International Fleischmann Trophy. In 2017, it was selected the Choir of the Year at the Donizetti Classical Music Awards (Türkiye) and won a third prize in the Monographic Category of the Arezzo Choir Competition. Rezonans was awarded the Internationally Very Good Choir certificate at the Marktoberdorf International Choir Competition. Since its foundation, Rezonans aims to present new choral music from around the world to Türkiye and the works of Turkish composers to the world.
