Fusion is a student-based organization from UC San Diego that advocates dance as an empowering force through which people of all backgrounds can come together and express themselves. We are a community platform dedicated to creating safe, inclusive spaces for all diverse talents to share their creativity, develop their skills, and connect through a collective appreciation of dance.
We hold two annual events:
-- Fusion Kickoff, a dance showcase held on the UCSD campus that features dance teams from the UCSD Dance Community
-- Fusion, a large-scale dance competition that features dance teams from all over the US, as well as from abroad. We host professional artists as judges and emcees, and partner with business sponsors for giveaways.
Our vision for Fusion Dance Competition is to serve as a platform for choreographers and performers to showcase their artistry, provide audience members of all ages with memorable experiences, and welcome all as they are.
