About
Carmony is about the harmony experienced when drumming on a car and getting in touch with people on the street. The activities of Jeroen Bakker (Netherlands, 1976), who is a drummer and percussionist, go further than car drumming. Jeroen played in various bands ranging from jazz-funk-rock to experimental music. He is currently drummer in a jazz workshop and plays douns and djembe. Experimental is also what you can call a lot of his drumming material on YouTube. It includes body drumming, couch drumming, cupboard drumming and car drumming. Jeroen is curious about the sounds of objects around him that are not in the first place meant to produce a well-defined sound. He finds it a challenge to use the sound of those objects in a groovy way.
