I believe one of the easiest ways to start a YouTube channel is by vlogging, just picking up the camera and sharing something you're knowledgable about that others would find valuable. That alone can take away the overwhelm of figuring out what to talk about.
But the real overthinking kicks in when you start worrying about how to film; should you script or not? How do you sound natural? What shots do you need?
Before you know it, you’re so stuck in your head that you don’t make anything.
I’ve been there. I overcomplicated everything until I found a much simpler approach that made vlogging feel more natural and relaxed.
So, I took all the tips and techniques that helped me and put them into this beginner-friendly handbook, to help if you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or putting so much pressure on yourself that vlogging just feels like a struggle.

That was an incredibly valuable time, and it's why I started the Vloggers Lounge.

The more I embrace the fact that it's so much easier to create a video where you document something you're doing, rather than trying to come up with video ideas, the more I feel inspired to make videos.
If you're stuck for video ideas, try this: Set yourself a challenge that you've been wanting to start, or go on a trip to a quirky destination that you've been dying to visit, film the process of setting up something you just bought, or simply take what knowledge you have and share how you complete certain tasks or activities.
All you're doing then, is making a video where you just go about your business and film what it is that you're doing, as well as the outcome.
There's so much realness in videos like that and inspiration that other people can draw from when they watch it.
And without trying to educate people, you're low-key doing it anyway as there's inevitably something some viewers will learn at some point just by watching you do your thing.
Of course, the biggest bonus is that it's an easy way to create value-driven videos when you're out of ideas but have the itch to make something.
What do you reckon? What could your next video be?

I’ve absolutely been loving the Fujifilm X100VI 😍 The photos it produces are stunning. I’ll do a vlog soon as I’m gonna do a photo walk in London, and I’ll show you the photos with some of the recipes I’ve been trying out.
In the meantime, because I’m obsessed with accessories, share in the comments some of your favourites that I can add to my collection.
Have a good week!
