In case some of you might wonder why there has been less videos: Our museum is preparing for its annual auction and we need 100 sets to be restored. All hands are on deck. As filming the process takes up a lot of time I have not filmed the last 10+ sets. Some required utmost attention and concentration such as the 1934 Atwater Kent shown in the below photo. I have a lot of videos ready to upload, but have not had the time. Here are a few of the sets that have been restored but will not have videos.

So... In case some of you folks are wondering why there hasn't been new videos for awhile. The reason is sort of dumb. We had our museum's Christmas show at a local antiques fair and that means we need to have at least 65 radios on hand. So there was a sort of intense rush to get more sets done. I did film most but not all of these. And because I didn't download these, my phone and G drive filled up! So I have been downloading videos to my laptop and clearing up my storage. There are now 12 backlogged episodes. These will include several stereo consoles, at least 3 record players, a trio of Philcos, and up and coming later, A Canadian Electrohome stereo- a first for me.
So I thank you for the patience. The next episode goes up tonight and there might be a flurry of new videos in rapid succession to get all caught up. Happy New Year~!

Just a few words. I do appreciate the feedback and constructive criticism and corrections I occasionally get on these videos. I've actually gone back and re-done some sets as a result. I am always learning new things. But... if you come on here and make either insulting or rude, nasty comments then you will be immediately removed from the channel. There is already enough awfulness in the world right now, especially all over social media. I don't want any of that here so again- this is a warning and there will be zero tolerance. I've already removed a few people already. Otherwise, thanks to everyone for your continued support. Anyway, off to work on another Philco!

I am NOT sure why but Youtube started deleting my intro screens. hence why the unappetizing random pictures. I will need to look into that

Wanted to give you folks a little update. Some of you might have noticed that a lot of recent videos are pretty quick. During the summer is our museum's busiest time when it comes to going to various antique shows. These radios have gotten to be very popular and as such we tend to sell out often. This means the volume of sets needed is pretty high this time of year and so I have been very busy trying to keep up. So I apologize for not going into more detail om these as the filming takes time. My "real job" has also been very hectic. There are probably 10 videos that need to be uploaded as well. I assume things will slow down for the fall. So thanks for your patience.

This is next up on the workbench. It is a huge Saba 400 automatic. These are some of the most technically challenging sets ever made and it will take a great deal of time to overhaul. This is for my personal collection. There is a new episode coming in the next few days but it will take time to overhaul this Saba. So there will be a lapse in time for the next episode

Hey Ya'll,
So there will probably be a lag in videos because I am currently working on a huge Grundig stereo with reel to reel and record player. Due to the overall complexity and the myriad of issues it has had it has taken a week so far to get up and barely running. As a result I have not restored as many sets as usual. Might get a small AA5 done in between but the video for this stereo will be at least an hour long due to all of the things that needed to be done.

Not sure why but somehow my latest video was blocked due to some sort of copyright claim. I sure hope Google didn't suddenly change something because if so, not sure how I can upload new videos if they are gonna be blocked anytime I demo these radios at the end. Will try uploading a new video today and see what happens

Alright ya'll,
I am back up and running. I bought a used laptop and downloaded some open source video editing software and took a crash course on using it. New episode went live. Intro and end is a tad rough graphics wise but I will figure out the new software as time goes on.

Guys, Due to some complexities and other stuff.... I need to buy a laptop and find some new editing software in the intervening time. I am still recording new episodes but it may very well be weeks before I can get back to uploading new videos. Sorry and stay tuned....
