Val-U-ThermĀ® is the hybrid closed-panel building solution delivering exceptional thermal insulation and class-leading environmental sustainability in a cost-effective package. Developed by two of Scotlandās largest timber frame manufacturers, Val-U-ThermĀ® utilises the best of SIPS and timber frame technology combined with advanced materials science.
Manufactured as wall, floor and roof panels, Val-U-ThermĀ® is constructed and assembled as a precisely engineered sandwich of sheathing boards, performance membranes and factory-injected very high performance insulation. This Val-U-ThermĀ® insulation is derived from recycled, renewable locally grown vegetable oil and provides U-values to 0.09 Wm2K; Y-values of 0.03 Wm2K and remarkable air tightness as low as 0.46 h-1.
The award-winning building system is BBA accredited, durable for a minimum 60-year service life. Over 3,500 homes have been built using Val-U-ThermĀ® since its launch on 1st June 2011 (over 1,500 in 2014).
