Amenhotep III, also known as Nebma'atre, Amenophis III, Amunhotep II, and Amana-Hatpa, was the ninth king of the 18th Dynasty of Egypt. He ruled from 1386 to 1349 BC and is widely regarded as the pinnacle of ancient Egyptian civilization.Amenhotep III was the son of Pharaoh Thutmose IV and the great-grandson of the legendary Pharaoh Thutmose III. He became Pharaoh at the age of 12 after the passing of his father Thutmose IV and remained in power for 38 years. His reign was a time of peace when art and Egyptian culture flourished.
