Finally recovered here, or at least 90% of the way there. I've been told the rest will take a little bit, but shouldn't have any longer term side effects. Started recording today and I'm going to build up a handful of videos to try to mitigate any unforeseen gaps coming up!
I appreciate all the kind comments folks have left and hearing about what everyone's been up to in the gaming world!

Further update on the last post - turns out it's Covid! I've been told the variant going around is a bit lighter, so it shouldn't linger for toooo many more days, and I do seem to be improving. Hopefully clear by the weekend, I'm itching to get to more Sea of Stars, just preferably without having to mute the mic to cough every couple minutes lol
I hope everyone is doing well, be safe out there! I've been on a bit of an adventure-ish game kick for the past week while I've had time off / been sick - finished up Hellblade 2, played through Still Wakes the Deep, and I just started 1000xResist last night (unintentionally ironically). What's everyone else been playing?

Oh hi! I'll keep it short-ish, but apologies again for the absence. I made a note on Twitter, but I've been dealing with some significantly rough times recently, which has made it difficult to get into a good recording mode. There have been some resolutions, so I hope to get back to it very soon.
As always, if anybody is looking to just hang out or lurk, I have still been streaming on Twitch on Sundays at 9pm EST for the coop stream with TheeNerdyDad and Metaforever.
I appreciate that folks have been going through old videos and such in the meantime, always nice to see comments!

Hey there! I hope folks have been enjoying Sea of Stars, even though updates have been a bit slow. Planning to have the next video up soon, work has just been super high intensity for the past couple weeks so it's been tough to get myself into the headspace for recording.

Update v2 on the Sea of Stars situation! First of all, thank you for the feedback and I have to admit it does give me that warm fuzzy feeling knowing how much my commentary means to you all! :)
I think I may have found a solution after brainstorming on stream - since it's on game pass, I should be able to play via console as well. I'll see if I can get that setup shortly!

Update! I've run into a blocker with the Sea of Stars recording in that, for whatever reason, the game introduces some pretty heinous mic popping into any recordings I do. Even just in Discord chat if I have the game open at all. I've tried just about every solution under the sun so far to no avail, so I'm not sure on the status of that playthrough currently.
I reached out to PJ (@TheSuperSNES, awesome speedrunner) who I recalled having a sponsored stream, but he was unable to find a solution. I've reached out to the devs now, so we'll see if there's an answer there. It's unfortunately not a rare pop on the mic audio, or I'd just add a disclaimer and run with it.
Beyond that, the only real answer to playing this on the channel would likely be in a 'Longplay'/No Commentary format, as I'm not sure I have the time to do post-commentary. Is that something people would still be interested in? If so, I could certainly do that and we could talk about it in the comments like we usually do

Thanks for all the love on the Blasphemous 2 series, I'm glad folks enjoyed it so much! I mentioned it in a comment, but wanted to note that the current plan for the next series is Sea of Stars. Something a bit more chill, presumably less dark, which will probably have longer-than-average videos like I did with Earthbound. I've been wanting to play it for a bit, but hadn't found the time, so this is a good opportunity to do that and share!

YouTube-centric Good news / Bad news time!
I'll start with the bad news to get it out of the way: Recent stream cancellations (though you can typically catch me from the other perspectives on Twitch) and YouTube Recording delays are due to a combo of the usual life hecticness along with completely botching my OBS setup.
The good news is, due to the error I hit last night, I think I know what the problem is. The TL;DR is a rogue plugin I had setup for multicast streaming that didn't fully disable when I told it to. 'Easiest' answer is going to be to burn down the OBS setup and start over, but at least it should be resolved then.
Once that's resolved, going forward I'm considering moving my streaming to YouTube so it's easier for folks on this side to pop in to chat if they're so inclined!

Hey folks! Ran into some trouble with OBS last night, might be a delay on Blasphemous while I figure that out. Hoping a fresh install resolves it, but we'll see!
