In the manga "The White Mage Who Was Banished From The Hero's Party Is Picked Up By An S Rank Adventurer~ This White Mage Is Too Out Of The Ordinary!" Fia gets mind controlled by a parasitic demon, and while she is under the Demon's control she seeks revenge against Lloyd and his party believing that they are the culprits behind her brother's death.
Lloyd tries to reason with her by telling her that she shouldn't let herself be mind controlled by the demon, because it will consume her lifeforce, but is futile she refuses to listen. She answers that she let herself being controlled willingly, she doesn't care what happens to her mind or body as long she can achieve her revenge.
At the end the Demon is consuming her life force and she faints, but Lloyd saves her life. Now she is free from the Demon's control and apologizes to Lloyd for everything that she did while mind controlled. Lloyd tells her that there is no need to apologize because she wasn't herself, the only one to blame is the demon.
Due to Lloyd saving her life, now she has fallen in love with him and has turned into a yandere. Now she can use the demonic powers without risking her life, so this means that she also has the power to hypnotize/mind control any living being as long is weaker than her.
This causes Lloyd to start to fear her.

2025 has just started and we already have manga with a plot centered around Hypnosis/Mind Control.
The new manga series "Saint Mariya" a Spin-Off in the "Saint Seiya" franchise, has a character named Pandora who is one of the villains. She has the power to hypnotize any human into becoming a Servant of Hades. The hypnotized characters will have a star on their foreheads while mind controlled.
During a concert Pandora mind controls the performer who is playing the harp turning her beautiful music into a symphony of death. Due to her desire to save her friends, the Pegasus Cloth acknowledges Mariya as her owner, so now she can transforms into the "Pegasus Saint". The "Saints" are powerful beings which punches could rend the sky and their kicks could split the earth.
Using her Saint's powers, Mariya defeats the army of specters and purifies the mind controlled girl, freeing her of Pandora's spell.

I have been reading this manga series "Osananajimi wa Yami Ochi Seijo!"("My Childhood Friend is a Saint Who Has Fallen Into Darkness!") it has a lot of hypnosis scenes although they are more plot devices and fanservice than actually part of the plot.
The plot is that 20 years ago the gentle and kind Alma known as a "Saint" became so adored by the people to the point that the nobleman had fear of her because if she wanted she could overthrown them and conquer the country. So they decided to kill her by framing her of a crime that she didn't commit, and burned her to the death in front of everyone harming her reputation in history. She was resurrected by the Demon King becoming the Witch Queen and formed her own country, is rumored that she was revived due to her hatred against humanity and she seeks revenge.
20 years later, Yoal who is Alma's best friend who was believed to be dead, starts moving on his plans to save her. He hires a witch to develop a form to mind control and hypnotize any woman, but he betrays the witch and uses this mind control power on her. This in order to access the Witch Queendom where Alma resides, but when he enters the Queendom Alma's servants turn out to be too strong so he must temporaly retreat.
There we have our first introduction to Alma after being resurrected, she is still kind and gentle, the same person as she was before her death. She doen't seek revenge, the only thing that she desires is to live a happy and calm life far away from humans that's why she hasn't started a single conflict with them in 20 years is also revealed that since that day she has begun to be afraid of fire. The deal that she made with the Demon King to resurrect her is that she will mate with him and give him an heir, but ONLY when she consents it, but because after all this years she is still in love with Yoal they haven't done any progress in that. Although she is not aware that Yoal is alive, she still believes that he is dead, but for some reason she is still waiting for him.
In order to approach Alma, Yoal hypnotizes Airy who is Alma's maid, but the hypnosis is not permanent and he must constanly have to give pleasure to her until the hypnosis becomes permanent. So he mates with her against her will, he aknowledges that it is wrong but it is a necessary sacrifice in order to save Alma. Yoal reveals that even if he have to betray even Alma herself he will save her, no matter if she hates him or reject him forever, because he knows that Demon King is planing something behind the shadows that will hurt Alma a lot.
At that moment the Demon King becomes aware of Yoal's existence and considers him a threat to his plans, so he decides to start his move to finally make Alma his own. Revealing that he has become tired of waiting for 20 years.
Meanwhile Yoal has finally achieved that Airy's hypnosis becomes permanent, but at the end it was pointless, because Airy's loyalty for Alma is unwavering she won't obey a command that goes against Alma's wishes or could harm Alma. So in terms of hierarchy Yoal is her master, but her mistress Alma is more important.
With no other option Yoal decides to reveal the truth to the hypnotized Airy, this in order to convince her to help him on her own volition. This is why I said that the hypnosis in this series is only a plot device and a tool for fanservice. He could have tell her the truth from the start...

An interesting use of hypnotism as part of the plot.
I've been reading this series "Fakes Don't Want to be Real" and it has a lot hypnosis scenes. The plot is about Psyche an orphan girl with no memories of her past who was adopted as part of the Silkisia family, this in order to be a replacement of her "true" daughter until she returns to the family. They never loved her and always harmed her making her feel inferior to them. The ironic part is that they don't love her but are very possessive of her so they don't want that she becomes independant and decide to leave their side.
So they had hypnotized her and put a lot of post-hypnotic triggers on her to ensure that she stays as their puppet. The first one is that when the truth about her and who she really is is revealead to her, she will instantly fall into a trance believing that everything is a lie, and then she will forget everything that was told to her as if nothing happened. At some point her mind can't take it anymore and she will faint due to the mental stress.
The 2nd trigger is making her believe that she is a monster that can't be loved and is hated by everyone. When she stays away from "home" for so much time, she will instantly fall into a trance, desiring to return with her family "because they are the only ones who will accept a monster like her".
After she breaks free from the hypnosis thanks to the help of her boyfriend the Duke, and recovers all of her memories, the Emperor is revealed as the true villain and was the one who hypnotized her in the first place and commanded her to stay with the Silkisia no matter what, even if they harm her or reject her. He considers the Duke as a nuisance to his plans. So he reveals that he can hypnotize her even if he is not the same place as her. Because she has a connection with her ancestor who was also hypnotized by the Emperor. He tells her that no matter how many times she reincarnates she will always be his servant who will obey him no matter what the command is. So he commands her to kill the Duke.

If you are interested "May I ask you for one final thing?" will receive an anime adaptation this year 2025. It will feature a lot of hypnosis scenes(Mostly Males being hypnotized), both the protagonist and the villain have hypnotic powers, it also will feature a scene of a female being possesed but I think that will be for season 2.
The protagonist can cast a spell that puts anyone into sleep, while the villain can mind control any male into serving her. Is confirmed by the villain that her power only works on males, the protagonist was the one who asked if she can control females, the villain answered that she can't and even if she could she wouldn't be interested in doing it. The lover of the protagonist is one of those who got mind controlled, but he has a skill that will overcome any hardship in order to protect his loved one. So the protagonist is forced to finally confess her love to him in order to free him from the hypnosis.
And about the female scene, the villain is just a pawn for a major villain, the Goddess who brought her to this world. She ends up possessing her after she got defeated by the protagonist and her lover.
The plot of the series is about Scarlet a girl who is about to get married to the Crown Prince, but they don't love each other. In fact the Crown Prince is constantly harassing her with physical and psyschological torture since the day when they first met, 10 years ago. He takes advantage of his title to prevent Scarlet of defending herself, so she avoids conflict with him for the sake of her family and also in order to protect them.
One day the Crown Prince cancels their engagement because he wants to marry Teressa(The Villain). Scarlet gets so pissed because all of her efforts for 10 years had been in vain, so she can't hold back anymore and punches Teressa, the Crown Prince and everyone who attended that ball beating all of them to near death, she is really a strong woman who resolves everything with her punches but only hold back for 10 years due to her family whom she loves so much. It turns out that all of the people who Scarlet punched were corrupted politicians and they got arrested(Even the Crown Prince), so in public view Scarlet is considered a vigilante who punish the evil with her punches.

Ok, this a plot twist that I never expected.
This manga has come out recently and is titled "I Want to Live the Harem Life of My Dreams With the Hypnosis App I Got"(Yes, is an official one published by Kadokawa) it has 2 chapters released so far.
And the plot is that a pathetic guy got on his hands a hypnosis app like the ones that appear in the +18 mangas, he wants to use the app to take advantage of women and do "naughty things with them", like the ones shown in those dirty mangas. But at the moment of truth he can't do it no matter how hard he tries due of guilt and deep down he knows that this is wrong. He really is a good guy...
While under hypnosis the girls end up revealing their deepest regrets like "Recently I caught my boyfriend cheating on me, and also he told lies to my parents and now they hate me, the pain was so much that I started hurting myself". He ends up comforting the girls and after discovering a side of them that he never thought it was possible because in public they always show a "happy face" and a "great life", so he decides to help them.
He uses the app to punish the boyfriend and force him to tell the truth, and also checks that the girl never hurt herself again.

If your friends betrayed you but you are fully aware that they have been hypnotized/brainwashed, would you still forgive them? or would you seek revenge?
I've read this manga yesterday and for me it was a good take on the "hypnosis/mind control formula". Is titled "The one within the Villainess".
And the plot is about a Remilia a girl from a noble family who never in her life has ever received love, neither from her parents nor from her friends, but everything changes one day when suddenly a girl from another world possessed her body, this girl is named Emilia(Which Remilia nicknames as "Emi"), so Remilia becames unable to control her body ever again, the only thing that she can do is watch from inside the soul
But she doesn't care because inside of Emi she learn through her memories that Emi was a girl loved by everyone specially by her parents a feeling that Remilia now can feel through Emi's memories because their souls have merged into one, also learns that this world is a game that Emi tended to play on her free time, and Remilia was the Villainess in the original plot of the game. But nevertheless Emi loved Remilia and was her favorite character because she understood that she was a "victim of society" who turned that way because the lack of love. So Remilia is happy just by watching Emi being happy on her body, the only person who has showed love to her.
Emi decides to change the plot of the game not to save herself from her tragic ending but because she wants to make the "best ending" possible for everyone including Remilia, so she decides to help each one of the main characters using her knowledge of the game. She trains herself, becomes strong, helps everyone and make them happy, so they have grown very atached to her and become her very special friends. So in that way when Remilia takes control of the body again now she can live a happy life. Emi was so kind that she always thought of helping others before ever thought of herself. A pure and beautiful act of uninterested love.
But that happiness vanished in an instant when another reincarnator appeared this time as Pina the "Heroine" of the game. She hated Emi because she believes that she "stole" her "rightful place" as the heroine and she wanted everything back but no matter how much she tried her personality is so evil and awful that she drove away everyone who approached her. Emi tried to talk with her to try to be friends and do a mutual agreement for an ending where everyone could be happy including her, but she was so awful that no matter how hard Emi tried it couldn't happen.
With no other options to "become the main character" Pina used a special fragrance and some potions that she put in the food to brainwash everyone into loving her, Emi tried to warn them to not eat that food because it will brainwash them but they didn't listen and only mocked her because "she was jealous of Pina". So it started... a life of hell where everyone loves Pina and believe all of her lies while hating Emi, until she was exiled from the kingdom, betrayed by everyone that she loved and thought as her friends. The shock was so much that Emi's mind completely broke and she entered in a deep sleep inside the soul. So Remilia took control again of the body with just one objective... Revenge! for daring to hurt so much the only person that she loved, the only person who helped each one of them without wanting anything in exchange, the only pure person in this world.
She aknowledges that Emi wouldn't want this, she wouldn't want for revenge and wouldn't want to hurt others, but that was the reason why they got betrayed in the first place, because she was so soft. So Remilia needs to become a full "villainess" to make everyone pay for their actions and create a "great future" for when Emi wakes up again, she will prove her innocence and also will make a lot of money so she can live happily on her future. Remilia doesn't want a simple revenge as murder each one of them... no, what she wants is a full revenge where their lifes are destroyed so much that will live forever in regret for betraying Emi in the first place.
Remilia makes it clear that if it was just brainwashing maybe she could forgive them, but because it wasn't she can forgive them at all. Emi tried to warn them a lot of times before being brainwashed but they didn't trust her. They got brainwashed because their lack of trust, so they deserved punishment and she will use each bit of information of the game to make that happen.
Actually there was a character from the group of friends who actually trusted Emi. It was Sofia who wasn't deceived nor brainwashed and make a full investigation about this and when she proved Emi's innocence she quit her job, broke up with her fiance, and left her family just to search for Remilia asking to let her be her knight who will protect her from any harm. This is the only character that Remilia doesn't want to take revenge.
PS: This is not a spoiler, most of this happens in the first chapter.

I liked this plot a lot, is from the manga "The Villainess Who Was Dumped Got Married into My Family, a Mob Noble from the Frontier, and Turns Out, She's an Amazing Capable Wife? "
A guy called Ragna reincarnated in the world of a Dating Videogame but he is not part of the plot, a character that shouldn't exist. He is a lord of a poor and doomed town where everyone is destined to die due to the poor conditions, even though he tries to do his best to remedy this situation.
But his life suddenly changes when he is informed that he has been selected for an arrianged marriage with Alicia the exiled daughter of a Duke, who turns out to be the villainess of the game. At this point they are in the middle point of the story, just after the girl protagonist defeated Alicia and "stole" the Prince from her, then she is send to Ragna's land because is a wasteland, is a punishment to her, a place where she will forgotten and die in sadness.
In the plot of the game Alicia is described as the absolute worst, a spoiled brat, always aggressive and angry, so Ragna has fears of marrying to her, but when she arrives she turns out to be the most sweet and kind hearted girl that he has ever met, nothing like the game described and also the plot turns out to have a lot inconsistencies. Then Ragna realizes that Alicia has been affected by the power of the Demon Bugs, these bugs have the power to induce negative feelings in the minds of those who they bite until they take full control over them. Ragna is surprised that Alicia is still sane even though there are a lot bugs swarming around her.
Ragna then remembers that in the original plot of the game after Alicia was exiled she developed a lot of hate to the point(Implied that it was because of the bugs) that she turned into a Demon after she sold her soul to the devil, after that she mets her demise and is killed. Also in every route of the game the land where Ragna lives is destroyed.
Due to his land being destroyed and doomed anyways no matter what he do, he decides to help Alicia and get rid of the bugs that are affecting her. But no matter how hard he tries there are too much of them and sometimes they control Alicia. So Ragna decides to search for the source who is summoning the bugs who turns out to be a Magician.
After Ragna get rid of the bugs, Alicia returns to be a Kind Hearted Girl who always smile and also is very reliable helping the land to progress.
