Rita Robert Otu is an International award winning agriculturalists. Rita is a true champion of Nigerian agricultural education and she believes that, "if you teach students, they will teach their parents," and that “agricultural literacy does matter for our farmers and community members." After gaining her Master’s degree from United Kingdom, she returned to Nigeria and founded Beau Haven Farms, a profit making organisation with the goal of helping to end hunger and poverty in Nigeria.

Due to her remarkable efforts, Rita has received international recognition for her ground breaking educational programs that have led communities to ignite pivotal changes in the areas of agriculture, education, governance, women empowerment, economic growth, and the environment. Notable awards she received include: Volunteer of the Year Awards(2023) from the University of Manchester, WWSF Prize for Women’s Creativity in Rural Life 2022, Food and Land Use Ambassador(FOLU)
